Mia Woezor (Mee-yah Way-Zorh): Ewe-English translation: “You are welcome”
Mia Woezor is an educational heritage program whose mission is to provide direct exposure to the African continent and its communities. The Mia Woezor experience is carefully curated by children of both the continent and of the Diaspora to open an enriching and memorable chapter in the lives of its participants.
We invite you to learn about West African history, West African culture, and the West African state on a journey that only begins on the continent of Africa.

We aspire to build a bridge across the Atlantic, normalizing not only access to the continent of Africa but also the free-flowing exchange between communities and cultures.
Our Educational Core
Our educational core consists of exposure to origins of the Diaspora, natural exploration, participation in cultural tradition, and engagement with local communities as well as with modern urban Africa.
We Expect
We expect participants to take from this experience an enhanced sense of cultural identity, community and accomplishment.
